The second annual NGAM Presentation Competition has been formally announced on the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) website and the Call for Abstracts can be found here.
This competition is open to all students (undergraduate and postgraduate) and professionals who are starting out in their careers in Aerospace Medicine or allied fields.
All you have to do is submit an abstract (2500 character max) to events@aerosociety.com by 0800 on 16 November. All entries will be judged by an expert panel and the top three will be given a free ticket to attend the RAeS Aerospace Medicine Symposium on 9 Dec 20 (usual value £62.50 for students, £200 for non members +VAT) where they will give a 10 minute presentation on their work during the Competition Session.
The panel will then vote for the top presentation on the day and the winner will receive a certificate from RAeS and a small prize.
Topics selected for presentation last year included a review of in-flight medical emergencies in civil aviation, a case study of a myeloproliferative disorder and a case of heat injury on an analogue space mission, but abstracts can cover any area of the field and be in the form of new research, case studies, literature reviews or educational presentations.
Please get in contact if you have any questions via events@aerosociety.com or NextGenASM@gmail.com.
