NGAM Lecture Series
As our first Team to be up and running, the NGAM Lecture Team are already heading to the stratosphere. Adele (Uni of Aberdeen Aviation and Space Medicine Soc), Nina (Barts and the London Aerospace Medicine Soc, BLAMS) and Tooba (Liverpool Aviation & Space Medicine Society) have been working hard behind the scenes to tackle NGAM’s first challenge; to unite UK student societies and produce a monthly lecture series delivered by professionals in the field of aerospace medicine.
The first lecture will go live on YouTube Premiers at 1915 (GMT) on 28 Jan 2021 but join us for the live chat from 1900. Before you do that, however, check out and sign up for our Google Classroom for pre- and post-lecture activities and to get updates about future talks in the series.
Our first lecture is titled “Op MINCEPIES: A seasonal introduction to Aerospace Medicine”, delivered by yours truly. This talk will use a post-flight debrief of the 2020 Claus Global Distribution Inc festive mission to explore some of the key aspects of the field.
If you want to learn the secret behind Santa’s portly image or why his beard is quite so bushy, join us tomorrow!
Yours,
JB
